Oct 26, 2026, 4:13 PM@morgan @Alice@gram.social Yeah! I also don’t enjoy fiddling with buttons and dials and controls like f stops and ISO. I have my X100VI customized as best as possible, but I kind of just want to quickly snap my photo to capture the moment and keep moving on and enjoying my day.
What I really want is essentially a brick with a really good lens that has similar controls to what you have with an iPhone.
@Alice@beige.party @Alice@gram.social I've heard that this is the Ricoh GR IIIx, /except/ that it is not weather-sealed, like a mobile phone. Tempted to give one a try. They take beautiful photos. My wife and I bummed around San Francisco yesterday, visiting the Ken Kesey Furthur bus exhibit in Golden Gate Park, then to North Beach and Vesuvio, next door to City Lights, for drinks and more Beat history. I was snapping all day.
