    A Chinese navy hospital ship spent a week in Abidjan giving out free care — more than 4,000 consultations, according to local media.

    But what happens to the medical samples and personal data collected onboard? Côte d’Ivoire has laws protecting health records. The hard part is enforcing them.

    @thecontinent please, please please:

    1. include AltTx in your images

    2. link directly to your articles. there never was and there has never been absofuckinlutely no need to use bitly for metrics. if your web server manager doesn’t know how to pullout metrics from server logs, get a new manager.

    3. you wouldn’t need to post images if your web publishing platform should have metada optimized so embeds of article headlines happen automagically. when you mind your metadata, you save time.

    @thecontinent Though that is a valid concern, I guess most patients were so happy to get the healthcare that they did not care at all. It is sad that access to healthcare is so bad.
