    So hey, #BritishColumbia, in case you don't know what a conservative supermajority can do, here's some info from the other side of the country:

    • Cut the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) by 1%. Sounds good, but wait, there's more

    • Removed tolls from the two bridges in Halifax. Sounds good, but wait, there's more

    • Spent $1.9 billion outside of the budget. Well, that's not so good, huh

    • Tried to give itself the power to fire the Auditor General

    • Made massive cuts to the nonprofit sector in March, including community support organizations, with more cuts to come because there's a big deficit

    • Repealed the ban on uranium mining

    • Has begun pre-construction of an AI data centre without public consultation or an environmental assessment, planning to lease it to Anthropic

    And there is far, far more. So good luck, I guess.

    @StaceyCornelius Eby failed to understand the rules. Right wing voters do not care about fair play or ethics, they only care about power. So, if the cons had cynically called an election when the NDP looked a mess, it would only delight their base.

    When the NDP - the party we choose because we want a party with ethics that matter - do the same cynicism, their base becomes disgusted and demotivated.

    And here we are. They need to pick a better leader and hope the cons fuck it up real quick.
