I'm not the greatest poet, but this scene seems to demand it.

Between the peaks where cold winds sleep
The green moss softens stones of grey,
And quiet lays its gentle hand
    Upon the valley's rugged way.

And I, who came with restless feet,
Am stilled as all the land is still,
And learn from mountains, moss, and stone
    The patience of the hills.

Fjarðardalur leading to Mjóifjörður in the Eastfjords of Iceland.

A colour photo of a mossy hillside with bare grey rock mountains on the horizon. A small amount of snow can be seen on the high, north-facing slopes; this would be last winter's snowfall as the shot was taken in early autumn. The sky is overcast but there's soft sunlight from the right. The rock faces are stepped and eroded by wind and water. There's a small waterfall in the distance on the right, and a stream is running towards the viewer.
