@stufromoz I reckon imperialism is also at the heart of France’s problems. Their rivers of gold from the colonies have finally dried up and they don’t like PoC so their financial issues have no sensible resolution. I think they’ve not realised that the colonies have been subsidising them since Napoleon.

@kcarruthers France’s problem is that the government has been trying to move them further from the socialist roots of the system, aided by a bunch of wealthy media owners who are trying to Murdochise everything. And the leadership has not understood that cutting taxes to the rich never works
