@mariusor So, are you talking about how the generated links are on different servers, like this?
```json
{
"type": "Hashtag",
"name": "linux",
"href": "https://social.example/tag/linux"
}
```

@evan well, yes, but I was thinking more of where the href points to, in my opinion that's would be the Hashtag itself.
I don't remember seeing anywhere that it should be a Link not an Object.
For my projects hashtags are still Objects with an empty type, as at the point I wrote the vocabulary data types, there was no "Hashtag" type value yet, and I think it's still not there in the published versions of the Activity Vocabulary spec.
@mariusor not yet. On its way, though.

@evan yes, that's what I was remembering, thank you.
I know this isn't the correct avenue for feedback, but the link you gave me implies that similar to mention, hashtag is a Link superset, not an Object one. Which makes my previous ramblings somewhat moot.
Is that going to be the final decision? I feel like a lot of the fediverse currently represents hashtags, when they do that, as supersets of Object, not Link, but maybe I missed when a transition was made...
@mariusor do they? Send examples. Open ticket here:
@mariusor also, why do you care? What property of `Object` do you want to use for a `Hashtag`?
@evan content, icon, image, etc... in my head it is a full object which has context explaining what a "hashtag foo" is. I like explicitness better than implicitness, you see...
@mariusor OK. I don't find that compelling, but make sure to comment on the issue.
