A lot of people who were up in arms about some moral issue just recently (gender ratio, DEI, whatever) seem to have a complete blind spot when it comes to AI. All I hear them talk about is "oh, I was skeptical initially but now it's so good at doing XYZ". To me this sounds like "oh, I was skeptical about Hitler initially, but his autobahn is really convenient".
