Mr Pythagoras grudgingly allowed a test print of the 12-piece zodiac ring.

Twelve prints later, the outer zodiac ring is complete and we can see how it looks in the dining room. Now I need to finish the constellations and find a globe, disco ball and sun.

Test install of my geocentric orrery on our dining room ceiling. Still need spheres for the earth/moon/sun and to print ten more ecliptic constellation, as well as to wire the motor.

Obviously you're documenting the manufacturing challenges at the moment...
But, from a position of cluelessness I've been wondering about the high level steps that allowed you to initially spec, design & build such a thing. Also what choices you made for your design and why.
That feels like a rather ambitious question for a masto toot response! Wondered if you had (or intended) a blog on that? Or maybe there's a particular so_you_want_to_know_about_orrery.org I should go look at ?
