@roblosricos Are you part of a mutual aid / anarchist organizing group? Or wanting to start one? That is the use case for this book.
i am ineligible to join or start one. i was 'cancelled' two decades ago.
because if you can't trust anonymous voices on the internet, who can you trust?
but, i'm still willing to cheer from the sidelines when i see or hear of anything positive.
@roblosricos I am sorry that befell you.
i plan to do quite a lot of reading over the coming winter, i'll definitely check this one out. thanks for calling it to my attention!
btw - the shit-storm surrounding me was one of the contributing factors to the death of the Indymedia movement. some took a hardcore stance of supporting the women's voices, who were condemning me. others were quick to point out that they were making things up, just to talk shit about me.
to this day, there is not an accountability process.
@roblosricos It sounds like a restorative process is what is needed. Someone would need to facilitate a circle where everybody shared their harms and what would be healing and then you see if everyone's willing to do that. Do the circles that have rejected? You have a process like that?
no. over the years - twenty now - when i have asked for some sort of accountability process, so everyone could work things out to everyone's satisfaction, all i got were violent threats.
plus, some of the people involved in the initial mud-slinging don't remember me, or anything about how they ruined my life.
i was told i was not welcomed at the protests at the ICE detention facility, for instance. that may have been because i'm homeless.
@roblosricos it’s good rob
