I didn’t know it was possible to have tasteless Mexican food. (and yes, I know that “Mexican food” is a horrible term, there are many regions in Mexico)…..bear with me.

Yesterday I ordered empanadas oaxaquena at a new-to-me eatery. I had high hopes based on reviews.

First bite: OK, that was mostly tortilla
Second bite: here’s the chicken and the mole sauce
Third bite: pretty bland
Fourth and subsequent bites: not bland, it’s tasteless. no discernible flavor. nothing at all!
