Oct 18, 2026, 9:38 PM@timbray it feels extremely bad voting “strategically”. In the past the NDP/Green coalition felt like hope for a sane government but given its collapse is the primary reason for timing of this election….
I cast a ballot today. Not for anyone exactly, but very much against an even stupider option.

The amount of disinformation being circulated is impressive - apparently, Freedom of Speech means Freedom to Lie (or wildly exaggerate/extrapolate). Like BC, California is split between a liberal-ish coast and a conservative interior; unlike BC, there are few limits on election spending, so there's enormous pressure on politicians to "compromise".
