Servo now passes 100% of WPT tests for the WebCrypto API, all 73,292 subtests, covering 25 cryptographic algorithms 🎉
A complete, spec-correct cryptography implementation in an independent Rust-powered browser engine is a big milestone! Thank you to the contributors over the last few months who pushed this work along!

@servo two years from 0% to 100%. Stunning work!
Jul 29, 2026, 3:20 PM@servo Hey, Servo people: On your download page, it says "Please don’t log into your bank with Servo just yet!"
Is that still true in light of this news, and if it's not can I ask you to change the text? It would make Servo a much more accessible option as a daily driver for prospective early adopters, and there are a lot of people looking for good alternatives now.
Jul 29, 2026, 4:54 PM@mhoye short answer: it’s not obvious that servo’s overall security story is good enough yet to recommend as a daily driver
@mhoye @servo unless something changes, I though demo shell for Servo is not intended as a browser application for end users.
