There can be little doubt that there are serious problems in NHS maternity provision stemming from (but not limited to) the frequent disregard of mothers' own voices about their pre-birth health....

This is both a structural issue (compounded by the ongoing NHS crisis) and reflects women' experience of society & its structures, silences & barriers?

However, the more that it reflects the wider social/gnedered malaise the more difficult it will be to resolve.
