    Sometimes if I'm on my own, I'll go upstairs/along hallways as quietly as I can, checking doors and corners like I'm a secret agent or something on a secret mission to shoot baddies.
    Told my wife this, and that it's a fairly universal male thing. She didn't believe me and called me a massive dork.

    I figure that example is specific to a small subset of people and we all have something similar. Being a radio DJ, dancing like you're the lead in a swan lake ballet, driving like you're transporting a hot potato... And anything else the mind can make up
