Hackers wear cat ears to indicate how easy it is to get them to do what you want them to do.

As any hackspace will confirm, dealing with a group of them really is like herding cats.

Cats with opposable thumbs who can fuck around with mains voltage and email servers.

I'm not the greatest poet, but this scene seems to demand it.

Between the peaks where cold winds sleep
The green moss softens stones of grey,
And quiet lays its gentle hand
Upon the valley's rugged way.

And I, who came with restless feet,
Am stilled as all the land is still,
And learn from mountains, moss, and stone
The patience of the hills.

oooh, this is so cool, you can see the marcescence in the autumn leaves in infrared! Healthy leaves are bright pink, while withering leaves are golden-yellow, as they reflect less IR.

The last photo is an un-edited crop directly from the camera, you can see how most leaves are more blue than pink. The blue channel of that camera captures just IR, while the others capture IR + their respective colour, resulting in more blue -> more IR. #photography #infrared

Morning all! 👋

Ohne Tracking. Unabhängig von Gerät und Betriebssystem.

Einfach mal wieder Mensch sein dürfen. Ohne ständig das Produkt zu sein.

Elon Musk conjures up yet another explanation why he is preventing Ukraine from defending itself, but is debunked within minutes by Fedorov's adviser Serhii Sternenko.

First he said it was Trumps fault, now it is Ukraine's own fault.

When the explanation changes constantly, they are lying.

I did further analysis / reverse engineering of the Utimaco SecurityServer HSM simulator today (several firmware versions, including FIPS mode enabled). I could verify the workflow #eMhudra described on Bugzilla end to end. The software isn't checking the private keys during import (just OID-based bit-strength check). But FIPS 140 does not mandate this. So it's basically an "operator oopsie".

If someone has access to Utimaco HW or has firmware to share for the HW-based HSM, I'll dig into it.

All security issues have to wait. I am sorting wooden blocks 😍😍😍.

If you also want to do something amazing with your kids in #Berlin: Hamburger Bahnhof has this amazing exhibit until the start of next year.

We have a weasel in the woodpile!!!

I thought Solomiya was still too little to understand what was happening around her. Over the past few weeks, we’ve been under constant attack from russian drones, and she has heard explosions more than once.

Today, she heard a loud noise and said, “Boom.” She snuggled up close to me, and I could see that she was scared.

I asked her:
- Are you scared?
- Yes.
- Do you want to go hide in the hallway?
- Yes.

And in that moment, my heart broke💔
I realized that she hears everything, notices everything, and even if she’s still too young to fully understand what’s happening, she already feels the fear.

what do you mean you're "never eating toad in the hole ever again"

I finally went to meet the new goats on my wife’s farm!

Happy to report that they’re excellent goats.

The question is: Why did Trump derail peace talks?

[1/2] After a long debate we finally pulled the trigger.
Earlier this morning I merged support for writing leaf components, i.e., binaries, of #systemd in Rust.

Rust binaries are only marginally larger than C binaries.
We don't use cargo and the binaries behave exactly like C binaries (help, command line arguments etc).

I'm very happy this landed.
