oooh, this is so cool, you can see the marcescence in the autumn leaves in infrared! Healthy leaves are bright pink, while withering leaves are golden-yellow, as they reflect less IR.

The last photo is an un-edited crop directly from the camera, you can see how most leaves are more blue than pink. The blue channel of that camera captures just IR, while the others capture IR + their respective colour, resulting in more blue -> more IR. #photography #infrared

A photo down a forested path, there's dark grey pavement and trees everywhere. The sky is grey, the foliage of most trees and grass is bright pink. Some tress however have a full golden-yellow coat. Those stand out inbetween the pink trees
A photo down a walkway with streetlamps and a traintrack to the left. There's grass and a treeline to the right, shrubbery and trees to the left. Most foliage is bright pink, some of the trees however are more golden-pink.
A photo of a hut next to a path. It's backdrop is filled with bright pink trees on dark stems. The foliage is pink, however some of them have a more faded tone, they seem to be withering
a crop of an unedited photo it has pale blue, pale pink and mustard green colours. there are leaves, most pale blue, but a few are pale pink

I wish there would have been some sun to see those leaves in direct sunlight, but it was just grey all day. Maybe I will get another chance soon before all leaves are gone

Very much related, the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) is a metric used to monitor plant health, especially for large area vegetation (agriculture and forest management) by calculating an index of absorption of red and infrared light in leaves. This probably is a metric I outright can calculate from these photos.

This is also grounds for some fun and achievable DIY projects, building a NDVI live-camera, doing a timelapse, build a NDVI drone to survey a patch of forest or your farm..
