Some new art to share. Been mainly working on something since the start of September that I can't share but through this together using some parametric setups for said unshareable thing and some older assets. Hope people enjoy. #ArtByAlastairTemple #MastoArt #ScifiArt #ScienceFiction #DigitalArt #Blender3D
on a code organisation spree. pretty cool #Rust can do generics like this and I can delete a bunch of code.
One of the most exciting changes in British politics is that people are becoming more confident about saying they want Britain back in the EU.
And every person who says it gives someone else permission to say it too.
That's how a political consensus changes.
First quietly. Then all at once.
👻 I checked the output 👻
This is FASCINATING. Researchers were able to pin down the cause of measurable global 60 second power spikes to software that does regular tasks on the minute mark. They found large scale battery installations as one major cause, but obviously this is true for any other computerized system that does cron jobs and has a synchronized clock. As weird as it sounds, adding random 0-59.999s delays to cron jobs in Linux distributions and other software would actually help the power grid.

asking for a friend.
For a decade, Proton has cultivated the public image of a good company fighting for users’ privacy and security.
This investigation shows that behind closed doors, it has become a toxic place where its CEO is pushing for AI at all costs, and mistreating employees—including when engineers raise concerns that using AI without care may compromise security.

luckily I pay on a monthly basis and will migrate to something else ASAP.

why does every app need to be updated daily? what is so important that it needs a big bright "Update" button in the UI?
maybe I should go back to shutting down the computer and start it in the morning like the old times.
life hack: I have 3 calm alarms set with a "🍀" at 11:00, 16:00, and 20:00.
some moments where I can reassess wether I still want to continue doing the task I'm on, and there's still time to do something else before having to eat/sleep.
