Any typos spotted in this post were rather relieved to look at the news this morning. If typos spotted, they'll be taking a day off to plant a herb garden for the coming summer with a fluffy black cat keeping them company.
#Spotted While Roaming in Aotearoa New Zealand:
Two women (30s?) are having a relaxed chat in the street about world events and miscellaneous whatnot.
Meanwhile their tiny humans (1ish?) are reaching out as FAR from their respective prams as they can to touch fingers.
Gummy grinning at the contact.
Friends made in an instant.
A small human (3?) wearing a unicorn headband is CHARGING headfirst through a park.
Where is she going?
No one knows!
But Small Human Unicorn's gonna get there FAST.
Grandad calling for her to slow down,
But NO!
This unicorn slows down for NO ONE!
A woman (70s?) approaches a friend with a hand-picked bouquet of flowers held together at the bottom with aluminium foil.
She gets a delighted laugh and a hug in return.
Water droplets from the rain outside glistening on the flowers' petals.
A very sausagey and fluffy dog (poodle cross Dachshund cross muppet?) is trotting through a hardware store on spindly little legs.
Doggy grinning at her human (60s?) as he repeatedly says the word "walk." while telling a friend about his current fitness kick.
A tiny human (2?) is approaching a duck pond with absolute determination.
Mum calls out: "Wait for me matey. You don't want to fall in!"
Tiny Human Explorer evaluates this information.
Yes.
Maybe he does need a professional guide.
He holds out his hand expectantly, waiting for Mum to catch up.

#Spotted While Roaming in Aotearoa New Zealand
A small human (5?) and Mum (30s?) are scooting and skateboarding along a beach side path. Both wearing pink fairy skirts and T-shirts. Side by side. Faces pointed to a gentle sea breeze. Misty sea and mountains in the distance.
A small human (3?) is running through a park during a light drizzle.
Roaring: "I CAN SMELL RAIN!"
Arms outstretch.
A huge grin on her face.
Pure joy.
A young human (9?) passes a brick-like staffy.
With a look of adoration, she says to Brick Dog: "Hey Ralfie. I wanna be your friend but you don't wanna me my friend and that's okay!"
Ralfie the dog gives her a stoic doggy look before accepting an ear scootch by his human.
A man (60s?) is sitting on an outdoor armchair displayed in a hardware store.
His wife says: "You fine if I leave you here?"
He says: "Yep! If I can't sleep on it, I don't wannit."
He gets on with some serious snooze research.
A small human (3?) and Granny are sitting across from each other in an art gallery cafe. Mirroring each other as they sip hot chocolates. Small Human's legs swinging as she tells Granny about ducks. She has ALL the duck facts and she's gonna share them ALL.
Any typos spotted in this post are incredibly grateful to the lovely people who've order their books this past week. If typos spotted, they'll be editing a manuscript in a cafe, while absent mindedly listening to the small human at the next table share ALL the facts about ducks.

#Spotted While Roaming in Aotearoa New Zealand:
A woman (60s?) with long silver hair in a messy bun, wearing a floaty floral dress and bare feet, is standing in her front garden. Cupping a big mug in her hands and chatting to a small ginger kitten who is pouncing on her toes. The city waking up around them.
A small human (6?) is walking next to Dad while holding a big box, wrapped in birthday wrapping paper.
Small Human is taking present carrying duty VERY SERIOUSLY.
Dad's asking if he needs a hand and he's saying: "No! I want to give it to Grandad first!"
A woman (18?) is sitting at an outdoor cafe table, playing a game of Scrabble with Grandad.
Accusing him of cheating on a two letter word score. Grandad insisting that his word is ABSOLUTELY correct. Laughing as she looks it up in the dictionary and roars her annoyance.
(He's right!*)
A tiny human (2?) has decided she is going to wear ALL the jumpers.
Mum is asking if she's not getting a bit warm.
Tiny Human Thermal Battery is explaining she's OKAY while holding at least three jumpers away from her tummy so she can cool down.
This logic's sound. She's not taking any feedback.
A man (20s?) wearing a dressing gown and crocs is walking along a quiet street at dawn.
A solid dog trotting at his side (English Bull Terrier cross brick wall?).
Yawning, then smiling at a passing neighbour wearing hospital scrubs who's heading to work.

Thank you for reading my un-launching whatnot!💐🌻🌸
Any typos spotted in this post are having a proper launch day for their book More Tiny Moments of Joy today after last weeks went a bit wonky. If typos spotted they'll be explaining to their resident not-so-stray cat Moopsy that disemboweling rats on their doormat is a breech of etiquette and no, rat whatsits are not a nice present. (Moopsy unrepentant.)
*I didn't get to hear the two letter word! I wish I had but let's just assume it's one of the really annoying tricksy ones.

Sausage sizzles are a kiwi and aussie institution. Think a sausage in white bread with caramelized onions, tomato sauce** and mustard optional.
**Tomato sauce is like tomato ketchup.
#Spotted While Roaming in Aotearoa New Zealand:
A small human is jumping up and down while waiting for Mum to help him cross the road to get to a sausage sizzle.*
Roaring with utmost urgency: "THERE'S NOT GOING TO BE ANY SAUSAGES LEFT!"
A man (40s?) is standing in the gardening tool aisle of a hardware stall.
Saying: "I gotta get this one. It's got attachments eh."
His partner looks doubtful: "do ya need all those?"
"Yeah! They're ATTACHMENTS!"
A golden retriever wearing a polka dot neck kerchief is sitting in the front bucket of a cargo bike.
Woofing and doggy grinning as his human cycles past a bus stop.
So many people. So many smells! So many new friends!
Woof!
A fabulous individual with a neatly groomed beard, wearing glittering huge loveheart earrings and fabulous fashion is roaring a "HELLO!" at a friend approaching down the street.
Their friend hollers: "Give us a twirl darl!"
Doing a pirouette ending in a deep belly laugh and a hug.
A woman (18?) wearing colourful boho clothes does a wiggle shimmy as she leaves a voting place.
Cheerfully saying to a volunteer: "I did tha thing!"
"You did the thing!"
"I did the thing! WOO!"
Any typos spotted in this post just got back from their favourite barbershop. If typos spotted, they'll be colouring their hair, their bathroom, half their towels and possibly their resident not-so-stray cat, Moopsy pink. It's a monthly tradition. They typos don't question it.

#Spotted on Market Day in Aotearoa New Zealand
Two young humans (10?) are industriously draping a fence with neon green fake cobwebs.
Having MANY detailed discussions about the type of spider that would be living in their garden and how it could hypothetically eat any trick or treaters dropping by that evening.
A VERY BIG dog (Mastiff cross bull elephant?) feels that his nose DEFINITELY must be buried against his very serious human's plums.
Very Serious Human trying to have a very serious conversation about politics, pretending the deep breathing situation around his nethers is DEFINITELY not happening.
Three small humans (4 to 6?) are strutting along while brandishing pink balloons.
Looking disdainfully around at the other market goers, game faces on.
Pink balloon people are obviously the coolest people in the world.
Two men (40s?) are standing outside a voting station while debating life, the universe and their differing political views.
Joking and giving each other hell for being on the wrong side of the political fence.
Finally giving each other a manly hug and a back pat before going in to vote.
A small human (3?) is hugging Mum VERY tightly. Saying in the most earnest voice: "Mum, I LOVE YOU!"
Mum gives his ribs a tickle. "Love you too ya little terror." Giggles and laughter in the air.
(Continued Below)
Any typos spotted in this post are so grateful to all the lovely people who purchased their book yesterday for launch day. If typos spotted, they'll be wishing everyone a happy Halloween while listening to a couple of small humans down the road recite horrific spider facts.

Both Tony and I absolutely looked up to Patrick Stewart as young humans, so we're devoting the evening to watching some old episodes of Next Gen and having a bit of the kind of dodgy comfort food that's served in the the marvellous show, Lower Decks.

#Spotted in the Countryside in Aotearoa New Zealand:
A woman (60s?) with long curly silver hair is cycling a sunny yellow bike through gently rolling countryside.
A tiny dog sitting in the straw basket at the front.
Doggy nose upturned to catch all the blissful smells as they pass.
Friends on a grand adventure.
A woman (40s?) wearing a sparkly pink cowboy hat is rolling her wheelchair past a small library.
Whitney Houston playing from a speaker in her lap.
Laughing and crooning: "I will always love youuu," with the friend walking at her side.
A small human (4?) has been given the EXTREMELY IMPORTANT job of carrying a bunch of peonies for Nan but he's not sure how to go about this flower business. Upright, in front of him like a sword?
Upside down like a broom?
Swishing through the air like a wand?
SO many choices!
In a fruit and vege shop: A man (50s?) is patting his pockets and frowning. "I had my list here somewhere. Swear I did."
His teen son (14?) rolls his eyes and says: "What would you do without me to help you look human?"
Dad says: "Forgettin' stuff IS human!"
A tiny human (1?) is feeding a small jersey cow with the wonkiest of horns a posy of grass and wildflowers through a fence.
Wonky Cow seems quite happy to accept all delicious treats and gives Tiny Human a low "HMMMMOOO" of thanks.
Tiny Human shrieking and happy dancing in reply.
