Good morning Fedi friends. Sunday morning, the day most people sleep in - me at 5am - wide awake &🫪. Mind you it wasn’t a bad sleep a little restless because it was warm & having shoulder issues, but that’s not unusual.
I stood on the back lawn pre dawn watching the stars fade & noting some very dark clouds low in the sky, such a lovely quiet time of day. Rain is supposed to be arriving later this morning, quite a bit apparently. If not, I’ll be watering later.
Anyway I’m up, I’ve had tea, toast & coffee. That’s all I’ve done though. I intend to do yin yoga class soon I feel in the need of some gentle exercise. Then as it’s Sunday I’ll be off to visit my sister. I’m supposed to be going out for a family dinner this evening but at the moment I’m thinking I might beg off as I’m not in the mood. I’ll see how the day progresses.
Hope you all enjoy your #Sunday whatever you’re up to 🌻. #EarlyMorning #Exercise #Family.

Myself & the now Miss 9, photo taken around 8yrs ago - such a cutie & right now in the process of partying with some friends & I’ve escaped home 😂.

Good morning everyone. It’s going to get quite hot today & I have a busy but happy morning happening. It’s a long awaited breakfast out with the Vinnies ladies I used to volunteer with followed by going to my daughter’s place to give the now Miss 9 her birthday gifts.
This afternoon I’ll be hiding from the heat at home.
I had the split system fan going in the bedroom last night, only on low & it was great. I slept quite well. It isn’t noisy either although I was aware of it.
Anyway I have to go or I will be late as I’ve been dawdling- again 😁. #VinniesBreakfast #AussieSpring #HotDay #Granddaughter.

No one to see my candle but me as my windows can’t be seen from the street. Same sentiment though - for #HelenHaines. Wishing her a good recovery.

Granddaughter birthday present shopping successfully completed. I remember soon to be Miss 9 telling her Mum once that she loves grandmas presents because they are wrapped in paper, look interesting & never have just one thing inside 😂🤣. I’ve remembered though & always add small extras. She’s done well this year, I found a Lego pot plant set, two funny faced pots to make with flowering plants in them & bonus - on special & as I was walking to the checkout I noticed a tiny motorised mouse in a clearance area. Granddaughter & I both love miniatures, so I picked that up as well along with the requested squishy thing that looks like a cupcake. I think she’ll be happy. #PresentShopping #Granddaughter

Good morning Masto mates. Had a good long sleep, nearly 8hrs, not a solid sleep though as my upper arms were aching every time I rolled over. They feel ok now, but they have had a bit of a workout 🏊🏼‍♀️ in the pool this week. I will need to bring it up with the doctor I guess when I visit sometime next month, just in case he wants to check it out as it has been going on for quite a while now & never totally disappearing. I hate the whole “well you are getting older you know” - as if I’m not aware 🙄 of that particular fact!
I went out & watered the garden when I got up, refresh everything & now there are grey skies, not sure if rain is coming today, but tomorrow there will be some.
I will be going out shopping this morning for a birthday gift for Miss 8 who is turning 9 tomorrow. It’s taken all week to find out what she would like & it is surprisingly simple - a squishie 🤷🏼‍♀️. I did a little research yesterday afternoon to discover what this was, it’s a sensory toy thingy. I intend to buy her a book to go with it I think. She reads a few years ahead of her age, but I need to make sure it is age appropriate for her as well.
Last day of the working week for many, have a great #Friday everyone, hope it’s a good one 🌻. #AgingWell #Garden #Granddaughter #Birthday.

I think I’m going to have an early night, I’m fading. My eyes feel like 🫩. I didn’t only swim today, I did some repotting & sorted out my bedding then washed, dried, folded & put all that away. So when I consider the last couple of days & all that I’ve done - I am done 😬 - well for tonight anyway.
I’m going to watch something from the free to air on demand services, I don’t know what yet though & then have an early night.
So G’nite everyone, dinner & bit of tele & off to bed 😊 🛌. #Gnite.

Lovely swim this morning, there were some newbies in the next couple of lanes, a lovely man & his daughter. Telling me they haven’t been swimming in years & what a lovely pool we have here. Nice to make new friends. There was also a lot of babies in the shallow kids pool with their parents - to be clear, I’m talking about mummy & daddy duck 🦆 🦆 & around 10 or so offspring all practicing the bums up pose 🤣😂 🦆 🦆. It made me laugh, but the lifeguards weren’t so amused as they had to do the 💩 clean up 😄. They then waddled over to the main pool (the ducks 🦆 that is) where was & obviously deciding whether or not to enter the water. The swimmer in that lane put a stop to that though as she came back down the lane. Then the lifeguard ushered the duck family onto the lawn where they settled quite happily to forage for bugs. They did look so cute in the baby pool though. #Swimming #Exercise #Ducks.

Good morning Fedi friends. It’s a beautiful morning & is going to be a fairly warm day again. I want to change my bedding but the temps are dropping again next week so I’m going to hedge my bets & put the summer weight bedding on but have a winter weight quilt on the end of the bed. I already have the bedding staggered as it is.
The second birdbath had its first visitor late yesterday, it was funny though. A little blackbird had a drink out of it, but flew to my other birdbath to actually bathe 😁. Both birdbath’s are in the side garden that gets afternoon shade but when the Dogwood gets bigger & starts to provide summer shade I will move it under there.
I will be heading for another swim again this morning, I’ve definitely upped the exercise regime this week, but it’s been good for my MH especially this week as well as my physical health. It’s been good to get back into a bit of a routine that I enjoy again. I’m sleeping a lot better too & am falling asleep faster, averaging just over 7hrs most nights, gotta love that.
Hoping you all have a happy #Thursday, enjoy that sunshine 🌞 🌻. #AussieSpring #Garden #Exercise.

Perfect walk around the river, up a steep hill to have a coffee at the cafe, back down again by a different route & to the car. Nearly 2hrs including the coffee stop with my friend, catching up & unloading on each other & it did us both good. I think we both felt a bit lighter & I know I’m feeling brighter in myself & the exercise did us both some good too. #Exercise #RiverWalk #MurrayRiver #MoodEnhancement.

Good morning everyone l still feeling quite flat despite having a good day yesterday. I swam a little over a kilometre, I finally got some weed & feed for my Heinz lawn. I made a new birdbath out of a large ceramic bowl & a piece of concrete column that I had laying around, its permanent position in the garden isn’t determined as yet though. I also spent a too much of the day feeling sad & weepy. World issues, societies problems seem a bit too close to home at the moment & I’m one of those people that can shed a tear reading a book 😕, so you can imagine what I’m like right now. I’m not depressed, just flat & sad. So I’ll be having another quiet day.
I am going for a river walk with a friend, coffee to be had half way through & I’m looking forward to it. That should keep me out of mischief & brighten me up.
It’s going to be very warm today & I am meeting up with my friend shortly.
Hope you all have a lovely #Wednesday, stay safe out there 🌻. #Exercise #AussieSpring #Overwhelmed #Sad.

Good morning tooters. It is going to be another warm, sunny & beautiful day & I’m planning to go for a swim at some stage this morning. It does need to be a bit warmer than what it is right now though, so probably a little after 9am.
This attack on Helen Haines has affected me a bit & I will probably be a little quiet on here today, waiting to hear what the police have to say. Helen Haines is a part of my region, during her campaigns you can see her signature orange cockatoos appearing in gardens & on farm gates all around the region. She is very popular, well liked & appreciated up here in the north east. So while I am really hoping that she recovers well, I do fear it will be a very long road ahead for her.
Hope that you all have an enjoyable #Tuesday, take care out there. #AussieSpring #MyRegion #Exercise.

I am now back from my daughter’s place where master 4 was also at home with his Mum today. All the garden jobs were done, but the jobs for me that I wanted to do ie buying some weed & feed for my lawn never happened as we ran out of time. I also only have half of that loaf left that I baked this morning 😳. Master 4 had 3 slices at lunch, they were small end bits though & his Mum & I had 2 slices each. It was yum but I can see I’ll be making another by weeks end.

Good morning everyone, another fabulous sunshiny day has started, the mornings are still nice, cool & dewy but things are definitely warming up, it will be close to 30c by the end of the week. Pulled out some summer pjs as I’ll need them for the rest of this week. It’s that time of year when I never know what I should be wearing each day.
I’m helping my daughter this morning. She has decided she wants to do some planting in a few pots and a barrel. She actually put some pigface succulents in them last week & Josie their doofus Rottweiler ate them 🤣. Now she’s starting again & I’m taking down some plastic mesh to build some sort of cage barrier to deter her. Might work, might not - the dog ate a small apple tree last year 🤭.
I’ve also baked a loaf of bread 🥖 this morning, first time in months. I’m quite pleased & it looks yummy. I’ll also be taking that to my daughters as well so we can have some for lunch with butter & tomato, yummy.
Hope you all have a fabulous #Monday with some sunshine 🌞 🌻. #AussieSpring #Gardening #PotPlants #Sourdough #Family.

#SilentSunday.

Good morning tooters. I can’t believe it’s already after 8am, I don’t feel like I’ve been awake very long at all, but I have. Really weird dream last night that had me confused & bewildered in the dream which had me waking like 😳 that! So strange.
The dehydrator has done its thing, the cumquats & kiwifruit are still slightly pliable & very tasty. I had to stop myself from eating too many. I’ll take a few down for my sister today, I can’t take her many though as her system wouldn’t cope, so just a few to give her a taste. My sourdough has also worked its magic, I’ve dealt with that & it’s in the fridge to rest. I haven’t decided whether to work it again this afternoon & then rest it overnight until I cook it tomorrow. I think it’s going to be a good loaf whatever I decide to do.
A quiet’ish day for me today. An exercise class, still to be chosen, a visit to my sister, picking up my dolphin necklace from where I left it at my house sit & that’s about it for me today.
Hope you all have a lovely relaxing #Sunday 🌻. #Dreams #Preserving #Sourdough #Exercise #Family.

Three trays of cumquats, one tray of golden kiwifruit, just to see how they go - now in the dehydrator. 20hrs to wait 😄.
