"Some protesters sang the nursery rhyme the Wheels on the Bus as police carried people into the vehicle."

I witnessed an actual murder in real life and didn’t tell anyone about it.

Crows are common in my area so it wasn’t a big deal.

(Yeah, there's dozen of ways to make a joke here.. I'm just going with the lawyers' advice)

A guy and his girlfriend go to a Halloween party and neither of them are wearing costumes. The guy is carrying his gf on his back, piggyback-style, when the host approaches them.

He says “Hey, great to see you and all, but you know this is a Halloween party. Where are your costumes?”

The guy says “We have costumes. I’m a turtle and this is Michelle.”

I should mention that Wifeski, Daughterski, and Grandson Number One have formed a Naming Committee. Without me. I suspect that "The Little Bugger" won't make it past the first few votes..

We have an update.. we went to the vet yesterday and passed with flying colours. We weigh a mere 370 grams.

So Wifeski took the little bugger into the pet store and was immediately besieged by a battalion of cooing women. Within a few minutes TLB was watered and fed, and thoroughly inspected and cleaned.
We bought some food, litter, strange shovel; the usual Crazy Cat Lady Starter Kit type stuff.
TLB is currently sleeping on a very fluffy blanket in the shower.

Guess what we found, lost and cold and scared, on a dirt side road... #Cat #CatsOfMastodon #CatsOfFediverse
The little guy chased the truck until I stopped, then ran underneath to get warm.
We went to all the farms around but nobody knows who this tiny creature is. So we're off to the pet store for supplies now.

The dog's going to be right pissed when we get home....

I've been on Mastodon for a few years now, and after much observation and thought, I've come up with The 10 Commandments of Mastodon (tm) :
01 - Thou shalt not take thyself too seriously.
10 - If thou sees a fellow traveller being too serious, then thou shalt throw cats at said person until said person lightens up a bit. If said person is still being a bugger, then thou shalt do The Ministry Of Silly Walks Skit until said person gives up.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Can anyone recommend a #RaspberryPi ready distro that has LVM out of the box? I'm trying to set up a video server using a Raspi5 and some NVME drives.

Went to the World Of Retro Computers (https://www.worldofretrocomputing.com/2026-worc-expo)
Lots of classic computers to drool over...

How much would it cost to have AI write Lord of the Rings?

1 Tolkien.

"LibreOffice 26.8 contains no generative AI features. Documents are never transmitted to remote services and no component requires network access to function. The suite includes no advertising, no telemetry, no subscription and no account requirement, unlike some well-known proprietary office suites."

#RaspberryPi Other than OVM, does anyone know of a Raspberry 5 ready distro that does LVM? Kinda cheesed that Raspberry Pi OS doesn't provide volume management by default. (although I can understand that they're still migrating from SD card to NVME state of mind...)
