but idk i think im just getting way too frustrated from being online too much and stuff irl being a bit shit rn. i should log off and go touch grass.
Mar 3, 2026, 12:51 PMsoftware could be so much better but everything is so corporatized that it's extremely difficult to even conceive of the problems caused by that or the paradigms that may exist outside of that. not even academia seems interested in discussing alternatives.
@operand academia is extremely captured particular for computer science

@operand what do you mean impossible to have discussions? yes people have been inculcated with broken metrics of success. if they're too beholden to those that's not your problem to solve
