There's a little voucher code bonus for anybody who reads to the end of the post 😉
@roastinghouse hey it was fascinating already! I like it that you didn’t just go “yeah this says compostable”, you actually *did* the composting.
@solderandchaos @BeanThinking tested it too so verified 👌

Memories!
Thanks for that :)
@roastinghouse @Kimberley Your scientific approach is much appreciated. I’m not sure anyone on this side of the Atlantic has gotten beyond the paper bag stage (or maybe they think the cost of something better is too much), but your packaging makes me think that the coffee inside is the most refined, select, tastiest coffee available!
I would be attracted to it. Of course, marketing to me, specifically, is a bad choice for any business.
@ClimateJenny I'm very skeptical of all marketing which makes it very difficult to do!
@roastinghouse I love that you think about things like the life of the packaging you use. That alone sets you apart from so many companies, and individuals! 💚
@greenpete Thanks. It's worth the time and effort :)
@roastinghouse I liked the attitude of some of your posts on here and ordered a box of beans. Now I've finish the first bag, I'm impressed by your coffee, packaging, ethos *and* attitude. Businesses like yours are where I want to spend my money.
I'd half hoped you'd turn up at my house on an ebike to deliver too, but ferries to Belfast probably tip the balance in favour of Royal Mail 😆
@zebulonmysterioso We did actually once look into possible cycle deliveries in major cities.
Main issue is that it not all delivery companies are equal and why we use Royal Mail as they are the best of the (a sometimes bad) bunch.
Illegal ebikes (or unregistered electric motorbikes) are an issue and we've had assumptions we do that do too (we don't obvs). So outsourcing to someone on a bike could easily deceive us for the gig.
Royal Mail still have unions unlike other delivery companies, they do offset their emissions, which has it's problems but just like we put in the article, there's no perfect system but you can do your best within that system.
