This is not an academic debate about how we might incorporate a theoretical technology and what tradeoffs we would accept. We are responding in real time as the harms are inflicted on us.

You do not, under any circumstances, have to hand it to 'em.

To spell it out a bit more for those who need it: the AI bros don't *need* Codeberg. They are getting so angry just because someone is daring to tell them "no". Because someone is daring to dissent in a way that matters in some way, even if it's a small way.

Because they are straying from the religion, and going against its dogma that "the AI future" is above questioning. Because they are feeling threatened by it, because it calls into question their own beliefs and whether they may have been wrong about them.
