bioshock: not loving the fact that i can't change the gamma in the remastered version, that i had to restart one level because the game has a spawn bug, and that in another level they have me collect 7 things of three categories, walking in circles over and over trying to find stuff without any indication of where it is.
i generally do not enjoy this game much, i have to say.
but Bioshock Infinite still looks and plays great. they simplified the mechanics, cut down the controls, focused on the narrative, improved animation, architecture, voice work, and it is noticeable how close this one is in look and feel to Dishonored - except for the absence of stealth, of course.
I also played Bioshock for the first time quiet recently and completely bounced off it. I'm not a huge FPS fan in general but I thought since it's so highly regarded I might enjoy it, but really just found it bad.

@lritter it's been over a decade since I played it, but my reaction then was mostly "eh, it's alright I guess. What's the hype about?"
As far as game design and player decisions go, Deus Ex (2000) felt a lot more interesting to me, even though it's quite janky
@lritter the whole bioshock series was something unique, like dishonored.
@lritter huh, I never played Infinite. Would you recommend it? Dishonored is one of my favorite games.
@CarePackage17 depends. do you like roughing up ficticious old timey racist coppers? then this is for you, since you'll be doing a lot of that.
@lritter I remember bioshock 2 being the best of the 3 games, though I haven't played it in quite a while
