    @agbuckley Reminds me of a common problem we have in Physics: if you simulate every detail of a system you will get results very similar to the experimental ones. And you will learn nothing out of it, as you still have no clue which bits are the important ones.

    @j_bertolotti I find I have to remind students that it's great when we get differences between model and data – once we've eliminated the possibility of a bug – as we might have to work a bit harder, but at least we might learn something!
