Urgent: Immediately set 'PasswordAuthentication no' in /etc/ssh/sshd_config and restart the sshd service. Make sure you have ssh key authentication or other ways to access your machines.
Also make sure to update openssh to the latest version.
The openssh fix will be backported all the way back to Alpine 3.16
OpenSSH has a vuln condition which allows logging in without a password. A thread.

It only impacts Linux distributions which ship with musl libc and PAM disabled. I think that is just Alpine Linux (all versions).
It doesn’t impact Debian, Ubuntu, SUSE, Redhat or CentOS. Nor OpenWrt.
After garment workers in Bangladesh staged massive protests that shut down hundreds of factories, the government has agreed to review their wages.
These workers make clothes for global brands like Zara, H&M and Walmart, but earn some of the lowest wages in the industry.
Their current wage is about $100/mo.
The current minimum covers only about 41% of what workers actually need to afford basic necessities.

They're playing on both sides.
Still swapping Linux files with three commands and a temporary filename? The mv command has an option that does it in one step. It works for directories too, with one detail you need to get right.
He doesn't even have the mental capacity to close an umbrella.
"The umbrella is a complicated machine. Very complicated. The best people, they don’t even understand it, the umbrella. No one understands umbrellas like me. I am the best umbrella, no one has ever umbrelled better than me. You know the umbrella, it keeps rain off you, then you give it to the secret service. That’s umbrella.”

New, from me:
Several staffers at the White House are using computers or mobile devices equipped with residential proxy services that render their internet address available for others to rent, security experts warned today. One of the proxy services is a Russian company whose founder’s web hosting business was ground zero for cyberattacks against election systems in Arizona and Illinois in 2016.

You don't get to run for president without billions of dollars at your disposal and party apparatchiks vouching for you on TV every day for months on end, informing the VBNMW people who to support.
This idea the party leadership and donor class preferences don't matter is painfully naive. Both major US parties are captured by capital and white supremacist elements. That's why they ignore what voters want and insist you work for them instead of the other way around.
The LLMs are creating a new kind of mysticism. At Project Gutenberg, we're starting to get emails they have written trying to contact authors of some of the books we distribute. The authors have been dead for over a hundred years. I'm tempted to answer.

Accountability is the exact word the US needs to show now
Show the world that corruption on the highest level is not accepted and that there are consequences following these actions otherwise what is the point
People in charge and powerful people should be held MORE accountable compared to the average person
They have a lot more resources to make sure they don't fuck up yet often they go the other way
No more
I am always, always happy when any human system moves decisively away from fascism. That’s true no matter how messy, how problematic, or how broken the system is. I will celebrate all the same.
Not because the system is All Fine Actually. Because I am happy to see fascism pushed back, each and every time. It’s that simple.
Wondering why rents have become unaffordable to millions of people around the world?
Every now and then Big Tech will shoot themselves in the foot and send waves of disappointed users our way. Yesterday was one of these days, as Google doubled down on their efforts to force AI down everyone's throats — this time school students.
So if you're a teacher, a school administrator, or know anyone on any school boards, anywhere in the world...would you kindly let them know that there is an independent European alternative with no AI? We'd love to talk!
Americans, if you wonder how the other countries feel about this, the European side of my family is cold-texting me congratulations like I graduated or something
