Iran stepped up attacks on shipping in the Strait of Hormuz this week.

Two ships sank within 24 hours, including the Singapore-flagged container ship GFS Pride (21 crew evacuated). Six vessels were reported struck on Oct. 11 alone.

More than 20, mostly oil tankers, have been hit this month as Iran tries to choke off a rebound in crude exports.
