Guy friendship ... the completely unscientific and entirely made up 8 levels.

Comic infographic titled "The 8 Levels of Friendship: How far your friends will go to back you up when shit hits the fan." Eight color-coded panels show the same two men. One wears a backwards navy cap, sunglasses, and a maroon hoodie. The other has curly hair and a blue T-shirt and is always the one in trouble.

Level 1, The Acquaintance: holding a red cup and walking past his distressed friend, he says, "Damn, that's crazy. Anyway, good luck with all that." Caption: Sympathy without involvement.

Level 2, The Casual Friend: in a diner booth, he says, "Man, that's messed up. Have you tried calling somebody who can actually help?" Caption: Concerned, but not personally invested.

Level 3, The Good Friend: at a bar, he says, "OK. First, you're an idiot. Second, what do you need?" Caption: Will tell you the truth and still help.

Level 4, The Close Friend: at night beside a blue car, he points and says, "I told you this was going to happen. I specifically told you. Get in the car." Caption: Annoyed, but all in.

Level 5, The Best Friend: outside a neon-lit bar, he holds back a crowd of tough-looking men while shielding his friend and says, "He's an idiot. But he's MY idiot." Caption: Defends you. No questions asked.

Level 6, The Ride-or-Die Friend: on the phone in his apartment, he asks, "Bail money, lawyer, or clean underwear?" Caption: Answers the call. No questions asked.

Level 7, The Brother from Another Mother: with a hand on his friend's shoulder, he says, "The lawyer's on board. The neighbor isn't pressing charges." Caption: Handles the fallout like a professional.

Level 8, The Friendship That Should Probably Be Investigated by Federal Authorities: two men in dark suits question him while his friend hides behind him, and he asks, "Which guy?" Caption: Ride or die. Plausible deniability included.
