    @mwl In the Anglosphere, Canada is supposed to be nice and you should have easy access to from the US.

    Ireland and the UK are easy to get to from the US too, but you probably don't wan the UK at the moment given the way its travelling - which is why I left...

    Plenty of stupidity in Europe too, but so far no one has managed to get the same grip that Trump has managed, so be careful where you go...

    @mwl @drajt Agreed wrt Canada. Not that I've tried for obvious reasons, but we're becoming pretty anti-immigrant too. As you say, problems tend to disappear with money, but yeah. I wish it were otherwise.

    @mwl it's easy to forget that I could move to Ireland very easily for historical reasons. And for Europeans it's easy to move from place to place.

    Sadly I'm no longer an EU citizen because of right wing fruit loops, but I left the UK & moved to France before the door closed, so I'm a guest of France now with indefinite leave to remain.

    Within the EU there are cheaper and more expensive places to move to, & while some have a high degree of English speakers, it always helps to learn local lang.
