    I was layered back under my old boss last week, which means any hopes of me working to a promotion on this account are nil now (this reorg is basically undoing the last reorg because it was absolute bs and my company’s sales team deserves the guillotine for the load of bullshit they sold our client with this “premier” service model)

    Told new/old boss I’m looking at internal roles. Him: thanks for letting me know. you need to do what’s best for you

    @shippychaos Not boring by the way.

    I feel for you. That’s tough. Maybe his tone and intentions weren’t helpful but that is actually a good strategy when it comes to work. Even people who care move on but you’ll always have to live with you.

    Doesn’t make it less shitty though. I hope thinks go better than you expect or at least not worse.

    I think it’s okay and I’m probably being sensitive because I’ve reached peak “I’m done with this” at work now and I feel guilty about it
