IV is, in its entirety, probably the best classic rock album ever. I'm not making an exception for Dark Side of the Moon. (Yes, I know they were thieves and I'm not gonna defend that.)

Since the effect of his own acts is limited, the saboteur may become discouraged unless he feels that he is a member of a large, though unseen, group of saboteurs operating against the enemy or the government of his own country and elsewhere. This can be conveyed indirectly: suggestions which he reads and hears can include observations that a particular technique has been successful in this or that district.

Apparently my dad got scammed into putting his credit card info into a website while attempting to sign up for a BBC news email newsletter. "Well at least I'm getting the newsletter" he told my mom. I told her to throw his phone in the ocean.

Moien!

As a Led Zeppelin fan, I'm never mad when people confuse my Christian trinity tattoo for a John Paul Jones reference. I'm generally up for a bonding moment over either, even if my choice of favorite LZ album may end up being more controversial than a religious difference.

I'm happy and honored that Gukhanmun has been selected as one of the five recipients of FOSS for All Microgrants 2026! Gukhanmun is my Rust/JavaScript library and CLI tool for converting mixed-script Korean text, which combines hangul and hanja, into hangul-only text.

FOSS for All Microgrants is a new program launching this year that collects donations to support open source projects and communities. It also explores fiscal sponsorship by paying expenses on recipients’ behalf, alongside direct grants.

Thank you to @fossforall, the reviewers, and everyone who donated to the program. I'm grateful for your support for Gukhanmun and its continued development.

Early voting is surging across the country and the numbers are looking good. Debates are being dominated. Fundraising records are being broken. And millions showed up at No Kings rallies this weekend to make their voices heard. Less than three weeks until Election Day. Let’s keep up the pace! https://thinkbigpicture.substack.com/p/week-progressive-wins-october-18
