This would be a great tiime to write our representatives and point out that formulating public policy and making laws to enable that policy is pointless if the executive responsible for delivering that policy ignores the law and is left free to be a lawbreaker.

Making the law and obeying the law are joined at the hip and inseparable. Duh.

Seems fairly obvious but at least among the political punditry making law and compelling obedience to the law are seen as potentially mutually exclusive. This is unaffordable confusion.
