@JDGeoShack If Democrats can hang on long enough to unfash SCOTUS, they may have a serious shot at doing that. Getting money out of politics is one of these issues that people across both parties agree on, and I'd imagine that Citizens United is towards the top of the list of SCOTUS decisions that progressives would like to undo.
And given how much the current justices respect the all-hallowed concept of "legal precedent", well, I bet there are a lot of recent rulings that they decide to undo.

@CynthesisToday @JDGeoShack Worth remembering that one of Donald Trump's winning messages in 2016 was his promise to "drain the swamp". Turned out a lot of disengaged right-wing folks didn't like swamps.
The Dems just got handed a huge opportunity to co-opt that language: drain the swamp, put people over out-of-touch elitists, focus on common-sense fixes to serious problems.
I *really* hope they take full advantage of that, and don't devolve into wonks-vs.-Molotov-cocktail-throwers infighting.
