    VOTE. ✅

Do NOT listen to the polls.

Do NOT listen to the news.

Remember, as long as you're in line to vote, you can still vote, even if the polls supposedly closed while you were in line.

Do NOT leave that line until you have voted.

Do NOT believe it is over until you have voted. ✅

@Zelda and if you are running late or you think you might be in line when polls close, every office of elections has some phone number for the public to call. Call them and find out what to do. I bet that in 99% of cases you do exactly what this post says: stay in line and you WILL #vote. But you can always call and ask. And you can record the fact that you called and asked, in case there’s foul play.

In 20 years as an election official I think I’ve only seen a line at closing time once. And everyone in line voted. (I think it was the 2008 presidential).

One poor chap showed up at 6:57pm, a couple years ago. And he was in the wrong precinct. Nothing we could do for him. No way for him to get to his precinct in 3 minutes.
