I have spent at least 100 hours playing different Zelda games with my son, and he was so obsessed with TotK that he got a GameCube so he could play Wind Waker unemulated.

Now he has turned 15, and his focus has shifted from gaming to music and parties, which is natural and good.

But I'm super worried that he won't really care about next month's Ocarina remake and that we'll lose this shared interest.

@palmin oof, that’s rough man. My son is younger and still interested, but I don’t even want to think about losing that connection. Would hurt to lose that.

@palmin my daughter is 3 years old and somehow this is a constant thought for me as well. It’s many years off still, but I hope we can someday bond over the things I loved as a kid, including all those Zelda games.

@matt there is certainly a period where they love to hang out with their parents as long as they get time and attention and we get to pass along those things we really liked.
