Me: "Ooh, you know those funny little noises I make when I'm concentrating?"
GF: "Yeah?"
Me: "Are those vocal stims?"
GF (slowly, incredulously): "Yes?"

It's not like I hadn't heard the term before, and yet somehow I never connected it to the little noises I have made all my life.
