The United States likes to think it’s the best country in the world, but in reality it has been captured by a wealthy death cult intent on preserving the fossil fuel economy and stopping clean energy development simply for short term profits. Never mind the fact that even the rich can’t live on a dead planet.
You know (or can read about) how people felt about Nazi Germany after WWII? That's not far off how people will feel about the USA after Trump. For decades.
Indigenous folks, among others, have probably been feeling like there's Nazis running the joint this ENTIRE time.
Trump is only a symptom. A decoy, even. Once he's gone we'll have Democrats telling us not to expect anything from them because fixing the damage he did is just SO HARD while they keep finding endless excuses to continue war profiteering, surveillance, corporate bailouts and so on, and on, and if we get too uppity about it they'll help sic somebody worse than Trump on us to keep us in line.
