    I'd like to talk a little about ketchup.

    If I say "ketchup is just the worst," that's an opinion.

    If I say "people who like ketchup are mentally ill," that's bullying.

    If I say "because I don't like ketchup, no one should have it," that's oppression.

    If I say "people who like ketchup are dangerous and should be controlled," that's bigotry.

    If I say "anyone who defends ketchup should be silenced or locked up," that's fascism.

    This post is about trans people.

    @Lana Ketchup is awesome, and a potato's best friend. Not bad on a burger, either. So is tomato. You can put both on, and neither takes anything away from the other. So anyone who says, "Anyone who does anything to a tomato that is even one step closer to ketchup should be prosecuted for felonies," that's cruelty as core personality--a person incompatible with cooperative civilization. Make room in your fridge for both.

    @Lana Sadly that word can be replaced to talk about every marginalised group. If we could end hate as a default reaction, even just by encouraging people not to say "I hate that", it might help to make us all more tolerant.

    @Lana@beige.party hmmm, no.

    Because clearly you didn't take the time to properly understand the first reply and you think I believe being trans is peer-pressured on people while I in fact said the exact opposite.

    Either that or you went from trans activist to transphobic in a matter of a single fediverse reply (you realize this looks really bad without the context of your op right)

    @witix That response was not in good faith. None of that answers my question, which was about ketchup and not about trans people. And much of the response pertaining to me was just lies. So I'll try a second time to engage directly with your stated argument in good faith.

    Please explain how ketchup - the red condiment that is sometimes put on hot dogs or hamburgers - is "peer pressured on people" (your words not mine).

    Remember to argue in good faith.

    @Lana See, it is possible to explain things without using a car-analogy!

    @Lana "I'm just trying to protect mustard from sauces that are not ketchup, but are pretending to be ketchup."

    (the quotes indicate that I'm quoting someone. These are not the types of arguments that I use. Please don't come after me.)
