🦾 the momentum has def shifted in the [c]git wars, with recent tweaks clearly working to fend off the AI bot crawlers.

Still need to dig into the data and update the observatory, but just an eyeballing of this most recent chart passes the gut check (there should be very little human traffic hitting my cgit published repos, and fediverse OG previews shld be bursty).

A stacked bar chart titled "Status of the /git/* wars" displays the number of requests over time from late September to mid-October. The y-axis is labeled "# Requests" and ranges from 0 to over 60,000. The x-axis marks dates including Sep 28, Oct 05, and Oct 12.

The data is divided into three categories:

- "Slipped Through Bot/Legit Humans" (represented by blue)
- "Server Forced Abort" (represented by yellow)
- "Akin Trigger" (represented by magenta)

The chart shows a progression in the type of requests. Initially, from late September to early October, the majority of requests are blue ("Slipped Through"), with an increasing amount of yellow ("Server Forced Abort"). Following Oct 05, magenta ("Akin Trigger") requests begin to appear and rapidly increase, culminating in a massive spike around Oct 09 where the total requests exceed 60,000, dominated almost entirely by the "Akin Trigger" category. By Oct 12, the total volume has decreased, but "Akin Trigger" remains the primary component.
