This year I finally got to see a Mercury Rectifier fired up. If you look closely you can actually see the faces of all the souls it has trapped within its glass tomb!

The "business end" of a Mercury Rectifier glowing green.
One part of the Mercury Rectifier with purpleish greenish light in some glass tubes
big glass orb, kind of lightbulb shaped, but massive, and glowing greenish blueish, sitting on a nest of brighter glowing glass tubes. A lot of human faces can be seen in the bulb!

I got to make some art on a roll of thermal paper, without any thermal printer! This handheld Tesla coil shoots out high voltage sparks which burns the zigzag pattern in to the paper

Outstretched arm pointing a handheld tesla coil towards a roll of paper. There's dials and sockets and LEDs on the back of the hand held Tesla coil
A piece of white paper about 75mm wide and 150mm tall with black zigzag lines on it.
