Oct 9, 2026, 11:01 PM@mothninja There will never be such a time. They are now an enemy to be watched and never trusted or believed.
Paulthreedaymonk@sonomu.clubOct 9, 2026, 11:36 PM@mothninja I'm looking forward to a time when "American" is a historical category.
Oct 9, 2026, 11:47 PM@mothninja Don't we all?
I protect myself with a very aggressive use of filters, as well as unfollowing and muting Americans who think the purpose of social media is talking about their politics. It helps a little.

sorry to be a Debbie downer.
there was an unpopular guy at school.
he said we would miss him when he was gone. he was right.
it will be good when he is gone, but the machine that put him there is working great.
he has been a marvelous distraction for their Machiavellian machinations.
we will be left with an American Taliban with an army big enough to fight god and a hard on for the rapture.
i am making everyday count.
@Shelfie is in Sicily!!!

@mothninja @amiserabilist @Shelfie thanks! I’m kinda jealous, but it’s mostly business — and I need to stay with our doggo.

@amiserabilist @Shelfie oh I totally agree - wasn't thinking about the absence of the mango particularly, although that is going to be a blessing too, but more generally longing for a point in the future when the country ceases to be a shouty overreaching global nightmare which impacts every single last one of us. It's not going to be soon.
Ciao @Shelfie! Hope you're having a glorious time! 💚
