trying to make meaty crunchy schranz with no samples and not knowing how to bounce tracks on the m8 is proving silly. i should probably yank my whole octatrack sample library onto it and just get goin immediately

@mcc i spent like ten years making wacky little loops on it. it is a vast and delightful machine with a particular way about working with it. you can do so much on it and i still feel like i barely make use of all its features. infact it has sat dormant a while and i find myself yearning to return to it
i got it because i did not want to Use or Learn a DAW to make music. you can totally use it like that if you want, though some aspects of it are ofc not quite as flexible. if you loopback a midi cable into it it can play and modulate itself in weird ways. there is a whole recording mechanism i have barely used on it DESPITE it being a Performance Sampler.
PERHAPS MY SOLE BEEF IS: the encoders are going flaky probs bc i have been physically mean to it a lot
