recovery is going surprisingly great so far. some pain, but not that much, and manageable with acetaminophen, ibuprofen, and cold packs. no nausea since getting home

which is good because the first thing i remember after waking up was throwing up lol. but they gave me some drugs for that while i still had the IV in and it's been fine since

i slept on and off for about 4 hours in the afternoon/early evening, and had a great appetite. partner made me some butter noodles which i at a whole giant bowl of lol

on the downside, i was able to get the tramdol i was prescribed because the pharmacy needed to call the doctor for clarification of something but they didn't respond before closing. unfortunately i woke up just before they closed and was still super groggy and didn't know what to do, so hope i don't need it 🤞

hope i don't jinx it, but recovery has been a lot less difficult than i expected. i'm able to get up and about just fine, and the pain level is very manageable even as someone who's never had another surgery or even major injuries. still going to relax as much as possible because i know that will help healing, and i need a mental break as well lol
