that dose was sufficient to suppress T while i still had testicles. last time i had my levels checked T was 26 ng/dL and E2 was 244 pg/mL. can't remember how many days after injection that was, but it was probably 4 or 5

just curious, how did your hormone regimen change after bottom surgery?

i just had orchiectomy 3 weeks ago and am wondering what to expect

also did it feel different towards the end of the cycle without any T production? yesterday was the day before my injection and i felt unusually emotional

i'm not on a blocker, and i'm taking ~4 mg of estradiol valerate by injection every 5 days (plus 200 mg of progesterone nightly)

i'll have my levels checked in a few weeks, but am curious what the experience of others is :3

is php 4 vulnerable tho :3

it will be the fourth insurance company i've had in four years

all but the first year i had to change because the company was no longer offering ACA (obamacare) plans in my state

i can afford the increase, but this shit is getting so untenable

tfw you're glad that your health insurance is "only" going up about 100 USD per month next year :neocat_googly_woozy:

the battery in my steam deck seems like it's dead :neocat_sob:

i powered it up with 56% battery, played a heavy game for a few minutes, then it showed the red low battery indication for a second and powered down. after rebooting it read 0% battery

looks like replacing the battery will be a bit of a pain in the ass, but nothing i can't handle https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Steam+Deck+Battery+Replacement/149070

wonder if there's anything else i should do while i'm in there :nkothink:

just trying out the dr-dos 9.0 release, and it's honestly really weird

https://www.dr-dos.com/index.html

it's super barebones, there's only the most basic utilities included. the compressed image is only about 80 kb

it also lacks modern conveniences that freedos has, like fat32 support and tab completion

according to the web page, it's a clean room implementation, so i guess that's why it lacks features that dr-dos 7 had

so overall it's kind of neat, but i'm not sure exactly who it's for when freedos is a thing

recovery is going surprisingly great so far. some pain, but not that much, and manageable with acetaminophen, ibuprofen, and cold packs. no nausea since getting home

which is good because the first thing i remember after waking up was throwing up lol. but they gave me some drugs for that while i still had the IV in and it's been fine since

i slept on and off for about 4 hours in the afternoon/early evening, and had a great appetite. partner made me some butter noodles which i at a whole giant bowl of lol

on the downside, i was able to get the tramdol i was prescribed because the pharmacy needed to call the doctor for clarification of something but they didn't respond before closing. unfortunately i woke up just before they closed and was still super groggy and didn't know what to do, so hope i don't need it 🤞

hope i don't jinx it, but recovery has been a lot less difficult than i expected. i'm able to get up and about just fine, and the pain level is very manageable even as someone who's never had another surgery or even major injuries. still going to relax as much as possible because i know that will help healing, and i need a mental break as well lol

pretty shocking clip from former israeli prime minster bennet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZw2GpHq53M

he correctly states that young people in the US associate israel with genocide

but then he ends with a nutso conspiracy theory about qatar being the one who caused people to think this

no, it was entirely the actions of your own country that did this. even through the propaganda of western media and censorship on mainstream social media, people can see you massacring and starving children and flattening gaza every day

and this guy is considered to be a moderate! israeli society is one of the sickest and most radicalized on the planet. it needs a thorough denazification process if there's ever to be peace in palestine, but instead the US and the west more broadly keep protecting and enabling them at every step
