The pilots were military from the very start. The Deutsche Verkehrsfliegerschule, Lufthansa's training pipeline, was a covert military school operating as a flying school. Pilots who passed through it went straight into the Luftwaffe.

Milch went straight from the Lufthansa boardroom to Göring's ministry in 1933; the He 111 was a bomber with seats bolted in; the hangars built Stukas.

Civil was intentional cover, deception for rearmament.

So "Zwischen ziviler und militärischer Luftfahrt" puts the company in the fantasy of a false dilemma between two roles, as if it never landed in the wrong one.

There was never a between, Hans. Stop playing the fool.

The "between" is propaganda the refounded company spun up in the 1950s when it put the crane back in the air. The walls of this exhibition show the real slavery and hate beneath Lufthansa's rise; yet the title on the poster, the ticket, and the press release is pumping a Nazi company's lie.
