Two days ago Lain became old enough to go to the gay bar and I totally forgot about this.
So here is the reminder for everybody else, two days late https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yq0_ApTwNH4

I don't understand this math. Lain aired in 1998. The anime says it is set "present day present time". The wiki says she is 14 in the anime. The drinking age in Japan is 20. She could have gone to the gay bar in like, 2004
@mcc but the linked video aired on September 28, 2008, so it's 18 years and 2 days old today
