not supported in Safari so it loads all videos immediately, but nice in other browsers
preload=metadata
Safari ignores this and preloads the entire video (wtf), others preload the metadata and the first frame as expected
preload=none
no browser loads anything before play is clicked, not even the first frame, leaving the video blank unless a poster image is set
