We only get the 400 KB/s or so speed at freakin' midnight ! I don't even remember if it was bit or byte. It's been a decade.
I just remember that downloading a 50 MB file takes about 15 - 25 minutes or so. For a 3 gig file, about 2 - 4 hours.
One time I downloaded a 20 something gig file and that one took I think a week or a week and a half. I only started downloading by midnight and stop when I have to go to school.
Things got worse by 2020. I only got like 20 - 50 or so KB/s even at midnight. Downloading a 15 MB file took idk, 15 - 20 mins ? That was one of the many reasons I deleted all my social media accounts and just.. idk.. disconnected from the internet for like a month. I wasnt in a good headspace that time too anyway
Even if I used Linux full time with that internet speed, I'll have to leave the computer on and hope it doesn't disconnect.
