Hey y'all. Does the follower count matter to you ? And do you use it as a measurement of how trustworthy someone is here on Mastodon?
I'm just curious. I know I can look it up but I like having additional source of info.
Boosts aren't mandatory but appreciated. Besides I'll make my own conclusions eventually...

Welp time to compile and manage packages manually, LFS style

I watched a li'l. Pretty cool seeing a bear just chillin', eating fish.

I stopped using SimpleX cos I had nobody to talk to. Besides I'm not even "good" at DM's, lol.
I thought receiving DM's from randoms were a fun idea but eh. I was an idiot a year and a half ago so nah.
I keep hearing about Deltachat and Cwtch though... but I'm done with DM stuff in general. Signal, Discord, Matrix, Telegram, etc., all that shit. I'm done with all that, permanently.
It's just not good with my mental health honestly. I feel like it's my fault for making a person I'm talking to feel bored or idk... disappointed so uhh yeah.

Which hand/paw do you mostly use for masturbating ?

I used to eat mango floats every Christmas when I used to live there. It's really fuckin' good..
Seeing a lot of weird and fun polls lately. This is a weird one but.. do y'all sleep with just your underwear on?
I'm always on my boxers when I sleep cos it's neither hot or cold for me, and it's just comfy.

It's something people been talking about on localllama subreddit even back in 2023 - 2024 when I used to lurk there.
I don't go there anymore cos it stinks of bots and kinda become sort of an ad space for slop projects last time I checked, idk.
Till there's no ethically sourced datasets where everybody consented to their works being used to train local llm's, I'm not interested with the developments going behind the scenes, though I wish when the big ai companies stop providing the scraps, the community will start makin "ethical local llm's".
Prolly just gonna be on my dreams tho, idk.

*sigh* I guess I'll stick to i3. The gaming latency between X11 and Wayland is very noticeable (to me) anyway whenever I play osu!lazer with AR and OD 11 on standard.
Every ms counts even if it's just 8ms

"You want free candy?" said the man in a van.
Plus cars as well. One particular brown tech influencer was speeding on a school zone with a sports car at one point in time last year, lol
When I was a kid we didn't have range limits cos my parents aren't home till 8 - 11 PM so we can go as far as we want, but we had time limits.
No one out by 11 PM ! Get some rest for school tomorrow !
We only get the 400 KB/s or so speed at freakin' midnight ! I don't even remember if it was bit or byte. It's been a decade.
I just remember that downloading a 50 MB file takes about 15 - 25 minutes or so. For a 3 gig file, about 2 - 4 hours.
One time I downloaded a 20 something gig file and that one took I think a week or a week and a half. I only started downloading by midnight and stop when I have to go to school.
Things got worse by 2020. I only got like 20 - 50 or so KB/s even at midnight. Downloading a 15 MB file took idk, 15 - 20 mins ? That was one of the many reasons I deleted all my social media accounts and just.. idk.. disconnected from the internet for like a month. I wasnt in a good headspace that time too anyway
Even if I used Linux full time with that internet speed, I'll have to leave the computer on and hope it doesn't disconnect.
How many optical drives do you have on your main everyday rig ?
I have 2 on my archlinux rig, btw. 1 of 'em is unplugged from my mobo though.

Phones are basically pacifiers for all ages these days. Adults realize how boring their life is without it. That's also where they do their transactions, food orders, and lots of other stuff these days.
For teenagers, validation usually comes from the net, from their online friends, and kids are, idk, constantly need that "high" they get from overstimulating crap :)))
I'm on a unique spot though. There's not much difference between my online and offline life cos I don't have friends on both places so I can "see" the world for what it is.
I think if I had a friend to keep, even if it's just 1, I wouldn't be in this spot.
"I abandon here the Debian emoji."
Noticed people look for something unique in everybody so I guess I'll tell what makes me unique.
I have the same amount of real friends as the calories of what's in a Coke Zero, for 7 years. I'm still alright physically, conscientiously, physiologically and mentally.
I'm probably the only guy in the world who has survived this long without somebody to "lean on" without killing themselves or resorting to an LLM for companionship (gross).
I did have friends on the net but they've left me alone, some have chosen to leave me alone, blocked me, but for the rest I told 'em to leave me alone, for their sake. I've been alone on the net for almost a year.
I don't have a girlfriend and my parents cannot be relied on for emotional support so even on that aspect of life I'm also alone.
So sorry if I'm kinda strange and/or annoying. I can only wish anybody to understand, and if I get in your feed, just mute me, unfollow, everything so you don't see me.
I'm alright with it :)
my cosntant feeling ever since this summer started. its overpowering me sometimes...
