    It's okay to refuse to engage with LLM-based commercial tools on the basis of moral/ethical grounds such as their ecological, social, political or economical costs.

    "Yeah but they help disabled people with, like, transcription and automation, they do some good as well, you can't ignore that"–you know what, I can and will. I'm disabled myself, and a slave could definitely be a huge help, is that an argument in favor of having a nuanced discussion on the benefits of slavery?

    (It's not an entirely idle parallel either – why are so many people eager to have access to an anthropomorphized piece of software that's ready to do their bidding while stroking their ego?)
